Position Responsibilities
The CLS PROGRAM MANAGER (CPM) - Iraqi Light Armored Vehicle (ILAV) Program, manages the conduct and performance of Contractor Logistics Support services and activities at the ILAV Maintenance and Training Facility, located in Iraq. Specific duties include establishing the worksite, supervising section managers and administrative staff, overseeing the conduct of training, maintenance, services, and supply actions in theater, exercising hire/fire authority over all contract personnel within theater, providing oversight for the administration of a local national workforce, establishing processes consistent with company practices, and monitoring and improving those processes. The CLS PROGRAM MANAGER is singularly charged with monitoring, controlling, and reporting the status of contract deliverables, controlling program budgets, establishing subcontractor relationships, analyzing manpower requirements and adjusting as necessary to guarantee contract compliance, and participating in contract proposals, negotiations and changes with governmental customers by performing analysis of labor and cost estimates, verifying compliance with customer stated requirements, gathering/preparing information/data for evaluation, and making recommendations for action to the supported Program Managers for all in-theater activities. A major responsibility of this position is monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules, resolving program concerns, and coordinating the work of functional managers and supervisors who are assigned to program execution. The CLS PROGRAM MANAGER is responsible for ensuring current information/status is communicated to the Director, Field Support Services, and supported Program Managers regarding projects, tasks, operations and financial status. The position will report to the Director, Field Support Services.


Position Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical or Business Management fields; an MBA is desired. Must have 10+ years operational military experience and familiarity with the fielding of military vehicles or sustainment. Experience in a closely-related technical industry such as the heavy truck or construction equipment industries with government contracting and program experience will be considered, however the emphasis for this company is the military customer/community. A strong focus and discipline to processes and process improvement is a must. A SECRET Security Clearance is a plus; willingness to apply for security clearance is a must. Requires familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the military wheeled vehicle field. Must possess the experience and judgment to plan goals and develop recommendations for achieving them. This position requires an ability to perform a variety of complex tasks concurrently. Must have a creative spirit with the ability to see the big picture and make adjustments as necessary. We are seeking a results-driven attitude with a track record for successful outcomes. Experience working with TACOM and/or other governmental agencies will be considered a plus. The applicant must have a prepared and organized work style with responsibility for providing current, day-to-day visibility into the operations of one or more programs. Successful applicants will need the ability to work with diverse groups including all levels of staff and management, as well as a foreign national workforce. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate objectives and develop recommendations for strategies. Highly developed interpersonal skills are essential.
