CNC Mill Set-Up II

Responsible for setup mill functions and other duties as required. Sets up jobs. Completes first article inspections. Responsible for reporting and recording any incidents. Modifies tooling and fixturing. Updates manufacturing documentation. Oversees the flow of work through the department. Identifies the skill levels of mill department employees and trains them accordingly. Edits programs and monitors tooling.

Background/Skills

- At least 5 years of applicable experience.
- Basic knowledge of tool grinding/cutter grinding.
- In depth knowledge of feeds and speeds.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with machine control.
- Basic knowledge of programming (entry level abilities with computers).
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Working knowledge of safety protocol.
- Ability to identify skill levels and train employees accordingly.
- Basic knowledge of trigonometry and g-codes.
- Working knowledge of inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
