CNC Turret Punch Press Programmer Operator
Position Purpose: Set up, program, operate, and maintain the CNC turret punch press to produce a high quality product to customer requirements in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
Essential Duties:
- Operate the machine and its components in a manual or automatic mode
- Set the work piece clamps
-Zeroing the machine
- Align and pre-load the tooling
- Check first product parts against drawings to ensure accuracy
- Understand the operating sequence of the machine to determine if the machine is still operating properly
- Understand the location and operation of the emergency stop and feed hold switches
Skill Requirement
- Must have 3-5 years set-up and operation knowledge.
- Experience in brake press and work cell environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of punch and die tooling very useful.
- Ability to edit the program for new and existing runs.
- Working knowledge of measuring equipment including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, etc.
-Ability to interpret customer drawings.
- Ability to follow O.G.S. Quality standards - including ISO 9001 and AS9100.
