CO2 Analytical Equipment Manager

Position Description:

The role is to manage the development, implementation and reliable operation of BOC's CO2 analytical equipment and systems. The incumbent will define and continually improve BOC's CO2 analytical processes and capabilities from feed gas characterization, through process control, product quality assurance and independent laboratory testing. The individual will manage routine audits of the CO2 analytical equipment, systems and labs around the globe, monitor the overall performance of the equipment and labs, and address identified deficiencies and inconsistencies promptly.

The role will actively participate and collaborate with the Central and Zone Team Leaders - CO2, Central and Zone Team Leaders ICT (Instruments & Controls Technology), and business unit Quality Engineer/Managers in order to ensure that analytical best practices are identified, implemented and supported consistently throughout the globe. The role will support CO2 plant and ICT personnel with analytical equipment troubleshooting and the development of standard operating, maintenance and calibration procedures, and training materials. The role will identify plant specific and fleet-wide opportunities to improve the reliability and performance of analytical equipment in order to sustain and grow the profitability of the CO2 business. As an analytical subject matter expert the incumbent may also be required to provide ad hoc support to ASU and HyCO analytical systems.

Position Requirements:

*Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
*10+ years of analytical equipment experience preferred
*Experienced in analytical test methods, methods development and validation

*Strong scientific background

*Strong problem solving and influencing skills
