CONTROLLER OPPORTUNITY

Central Phoenix based Mortgage Company is looking for an experienced accounting/finance professional for their NEWLY CREATED CONTROLLER position.  This is a ground floor opportunity within the organization.  This position will be an integral member of the management team. The main areas of responsibility for this position are:

? Manage and control company finances including:  payroll, AP, AR, Cash flow and deposits.

? Establish and maintain lender relationships and oversee contracts.

? Prepare and maintain financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, quarterly and annual reports.

? Oversight of state licensing and related compliance matters.

? Interface with accounting firm for operational and audit requirements.

? Work with Director of Operations and Vice-President to prioritize and implement new state licensing or new lender relationships.

? Support other members of the senior management team with financial and operational data that will help in making viable management decisions.

? Work with insurance providers to determine, obtain and maintain the most cost effective coverage required by the business.

? Proactively address areas of opportunity (revenue creation, expense management, etc.)

? Prepare semi-annual evaluations of staff.

 

Profile Background in a service industry within a high transaction environment5+ years of experience in financial managementReal Estate or Mortgage related experience preferredSelf Motivated with high degree of honesty and integrity Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major highly preferredStart-up or turnaround experience highly desirableCPA certification preferredExcellent computer skillsQuickBooks experienceExcellent communication skills both verbal and written
