Carpentry Foreman

Job Purpose:

Fabricates, constructs, and repairs structural woodwork and wood products by following blueprints, drawings, and oral instructions; using carpentry tools and equipment;supervising staff.



Duties:

* Accomplishes production human resource objectives by orienting, assigning, and coaching employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.

*Maintains carpentry supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.


* Meets production operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.



* Meets production financial standards by monitoring costs; implementing corrective actions.



* Completes production requirements by expediting work results; monitoring progress; resolving problems.


* Complies with Federal, State, and local building codes by adhering to requirements; advising management on needed?????? actions

* Improves work flow by eliminating stoppages; analyzing delays; trying new methods.



* Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.



* Maintains continuity among carpentry work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs..


* Accomplishes manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
