Category Analyst (R06-88)

Jarden Consumer Solutions, a leading designer, manufacturer and market of branded consumer products including Sunbeam?, Oster?, Rival?, Mr. Coffee? and Holmes? has an immediate opening for a Category Analyst to support Category Management initiatives and processes through expert use of information tools and analytical skills by providing insight to the organization around category opportunities, trends and challenges.  PLEASE NOTE:  THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL EXEMPT POSITION.

 

The selected candidate will:

 Learn to utilize full "suite" of syndicated information tools (Nielsen, NPD, IMR, Market Track, Spectra, MVI, etc.) to identify market, industry, category and demographic trends.  Develop and maintain recurring reporting templates to measure key market, industry, category and demographic metrics.  Communicate knowledge through ongoing analysis to appropriate internal customers through regular written and oral communication.  Present market and category trend information at sales and marketing strategy sessions and share identified "best practice" analysis and reporting methodologies with organizational counterparts.  Coordinate training of sales and marketing personnel in the use of syndicated data and software tools.  Develop expertise in space management tools in order to support ad hoc shelf management requests and identify opportunities for improved merchandising and assortments.

 

RequirementsBS/BA in Marketing, Business or Computer Science preferred.  1-3 years experience in Marketing, Sales Analysis and/or Category Management preferred.  Must have excellent skills in the full Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on analytical skills.  Must be able to present complex data to many levels of the organization.  Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
