Cell Set-up Operator (Third)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cell Set-up Operator.  This position is based in our Montgomeryville, PA facility located near the intersection of Routes 309 and 63 (Welsh Road), 5 miles north of the Ft. Washington interchange of the PA turnpike. This position will be in third shift (10:55 pm to 7:00 am).  10% Shift premium applies.


Essential Functions:

 The Cell Setup Operator will be expected to set-up all hot stamp machines and hot stamp vision systems according to specifications in a cellular environment.  Perform various adjustments, trouble-shooting and maintenance of equipment.  The cell set-up operator will be responsible for completing all paperwork related to the job and production step function, recording their downtime, as well as calculating their yield.  Perform visual inspection of cards and in-process quality checks, categorize rejects, load vision and hot stamp machines as needed.  The Cell Setup Operator will be expected to maintain an organized, and safe work environment.  Provide continuous training to employees, monitoring and giving feedback on performance.  Assist vision setup operators in a support role with setups of the Apricot Vision Inspection Systems.  Assist supervisors with development of new equipment.  Work closely with Cell leads and Lamination leads to reduce defects. 


Required Experience, Skills & Abilities:

 

? 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience as a machine set-up operator.

? Knowledge/experience/training in ISO and lean manufacturing processes.

? Ability to distinguish color variation across the full color spectrum.

? Team-building skills.

? knowledge of Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

? Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (written and oral).
