Chemical Compounder

JOB PURPOSES:

 Blends chemical ingredients together to manufacture Skin and Hair Care products.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 Compounds and blends for company products as well as for outside customer?s products work orders. Follows the Batch Production Record Formula; written procedures, Standard Operating Procedures and GMP regulations.

 

JOB DUTIES:

 Upon receiving an assignment, the Compounder needs to check that all the chemical ingredients are according to the pre-weight record; that they have been weighed correctly and are on the compounding floor.

 Also to make sure that everything has been properly identified in terms of item code number, item description, work order number and quantity required per Batch Production Record.

 Reports any discrepancy (unlabeled, mislabeled, missing or damaged chemical ingredients) to your shift Supervisor on duty, and follows the Supervisor?s instructions before proceeding further.

 Checks all paperwork and any other document that support cleaning and sanitization of equipment required to compound the batch.

 Corrects and reports any discrepancy to your shift Supervisor on duty.

 Follows Batch Production Record written procedure when compounding a product.

 Reports any chemicals damaged or chemical spill during the batching process, and get replacement as required.

 Completes other duties assigned by your shift Supervisor on duty, to expand individual knowledge and/or to increase department efficiency.
