LONG TERM CIVIL STRUCTURAL DESIGN CONTRACT in SC!!!

Great contract position for a STRUCTURAL CIVIL ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER/DESIGNER for a well respected firm in South Carolina. Assignment estimated to last 12-16 months. Requires BS Degree in Civil Engineering and 10+ years experience in structural design in steel, concrete, and wood. Position is hands on design and project management. Professional Engineer PE registration is required. Requires a working knowledge of current heavy industrial construction practices; a comprehensive technical understanding of applications for structural design in steel, concrete, and wood; understanding and application of current building codes and structural design standards (IBC, ACI 318, AISC, ASCE 74, etc); and a working knowledge of the latest version of AutoCAD.

Responsible for design and preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, capital authorization applications, selection of materials, equipment and services, construction management, and equipment installation for engineering projects required to expand, modify, or construct new Company facilities. Responsible for managing project budget and schedule, and performing jobsite inspections to insure compliance with design is achieved. Will develop detailed designs, specifications, and cost estimates for various structural/civil projects that are required to meet the manufacturing needs of Company facilities and provide project and construction management to insure the requirements of the project are implemented. Requires highly skilled competencies in technical written communications, oral presentations, customer interactions, teamwork collaborations, and leadership.

Generous package includes salary based on experience and per diem.
