Coating Center Manager (PVD)

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

 

Responsible for overall management of the PVD Coating Center including supervision of all personnel, customer interface, scheduling, staffing, and profitability.

 

 REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

? BS or AS degree in a mechanical or electrical discipline is preferred

? Equivalent related experience considered without degree

 

Experience:

? 5+ years hands-on supervisory experience in industrial manufacturing

? Experience in industrial tooling or a related industry extremely beneficial

? Experience with process flow and continuous improvement methods very desirable

? Knowledge of vacuum technology and PVD coating is desirable

 Skills:    Strong customer/service orientation  Management style  must include concepts such as teamwork, fairness and consistency Appropriate technical knowledge of production processesMaximize the use of limited resources to efficiently meet business goals

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

 

? Insure proper staffing is in place minimizing overtime, yet providing the right product flow that satisfies customer needs and meets the objectives for on-time delivery

? Act as the site customer contact regarding expediting and delivery requests from customers

? Implement changes when circumstances warrant

? Work closely with Outside Sales in order to maximize customer satisfaction

? Provide necessary training opportunities for all Center employees

? Employee evaluation process including hire/fire and disciplinary actions
