Purpose of Role:

Part-Time Cocoa Bean Pre-Roast Servicer will provide operational coverage for vacation and maintenance down days. Associate will be expected to work as needed in the silo area to cover for absences, vacations, and maintenance down days.

?

Principal AccountabilitiesOperates the following equipment or systems in a safe and efficient manner using established standard operating procedures: dock unloading equipment, bean bag and Bulk bean handling equipment, bean cleaning system, and disposal equipment.?Perform the correct safety checks required in the area. Use the lockout/tagout and confined space procedures as needed?to clean and inspect equipment and storage vessels. Maintain and monitor efficient operation of the bean cleaning system via equipment adjustments, cleaning, or resolving????????? equipment operation issues. Requests maintenance technical help when needed and communicates issues to management????????? that require additional technical resources. Use ManMan to document planned and unpllanned work orders.?Communicate and address equipment issues effecting bean quality immediately.?Documents operational information in Access Database as required.?Clean the operating equipment as often as necessary to prevent major jams and possible breakdowns.?Must use lockout/tagout procedures. During scheduled and non-scheduled downtime, assist maintenance associate on shift in the preventive maintenance/repair?activities or initiate housekeeping activities.?Maintains assigned work area, including outside dock areas, in a clean, organized manner. Participates as a team member at meetings, covering shift manpower needs, adhering to shift and operational procedures,?establishing and maintaining good communications and good working relationships with associates within and outside the?work team.

Initiative - Self manages their time to maximize their contribution to production and accepts responsibility for their area. Computer - Basic computer skills necessary to perform their job responsibilities including but not limited to Lotus Notes,

???? Word, Excel, Access, Manman, LSS, CMMS, Intranet. Can send and receive email.

Key Functional Skills/Knowledge

?

Associates are expected to become certified at the Servicer level. Operations are normally routine. One-year job competency will prepare associate to react to non-routine situations. Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 25 kgs. Must be able to operate/use forklift, weight scales, calculator, CRT, and computer operator interface.

Decision Making Authority and Impact

Servicers are expected to complete assigned tasks and make decisions relative to those tasks with management assistance as requested. Along with making the decisions, Servicers are expected to communicate as needed to operators, Senior Operators and management for updates and/or follow-up.

Minimum


?


High school graduate or equivalency, proficiency in reading, writing, and simple arithmetic.


?


Must be flexible to changes in routine. Handling 70 kg bean bags, climbing ladders and stairs, and standing long periods of time. Varied temperature conditions from sub-freezing in winter to high temperatures in summer. Varying limits of noise and dust.
