Commissary Assistant Manager
The nation?s largest operator of bagel bakeries and the leader in the quick casual segment of the restaurant industry is moving with the cultural shift which is food that is fast, but never tastes that way. Just think about fresh-baked goods, made-to-order sandwiches, crisp salads and gourmet coffee. That's what our business is all about.
We are currently seeking a Commissary Assistant Manager to join our team in our Columbus, OH Plant. This position reports directly to the General Manager.
This position will be responsible for the organizational leadership necessary to ensure that the company manufactures quality products in a cost effective and timely manner while facilitating a Total Quality environment.
Accountabilities:
? Labor, ingredient, packaging and total time forecasting on an monthly, weekly and shift basis
? Oversees and coordinates employees preparing products to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards; which should include receiving, order pulling, assembly, final packing and customer service.
? Inspects and approves commissary to conform with USDA and company HACCP and safety requirements
? Conducts weekly inventory
? Conducts the daily performance of HACCP and monitors compliance
? Ensures finished products are ready for transportation to all customers on time, in the correct quantity and fit for intended use.
? Complies with all Human Resources policies and records all customer service issues and implements plans for improvement
? Able to work first or second shift. 1st 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Education/Experience:
? High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. College degree a plus.
? Experience working in a USDA facility.
? Food production based industry preferred
? Serve Safe, HACCP certified preferred
? Prior supervisory experience a must
? Excellent oral and written communication skills; Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
? Intermediate skills with MS Office
