Continuous Improvement-Black Belt

Black Belt   The global publicly traded company has continuous improvement as one of its four corporate pillars for success. They are obviously serious about improving the methods, policies and procedures for their manufacturing operations. The person selected for this position will report to the division General Manager and will become the driving force for process improvement for six plants.

 

The expectation is that the person selected for this position will move on to greater responsibility at a larger division or at the corporate level.

 

Responsibilities:
Work with manufacturing and engineering to optimize product manufacturability and functionality
Institute an attitude of learning ?best practices? and implementing them at a rapid pace
Take a leadership role in implementing process improvements
Manage multiple projects and kanban events simultaneously
Strategically lead organization to become a process improvement culture
Evaluate current methods and programs and suggest appropriate changes that move the company to world class status
Design and facilitate process improvement programs at six plants

 

Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree
Master Black Belt or Black Belt
Ability to inspire at the strategic level and implement at the tactical level
Demonstrated experience working across at least six plants
Ability to communicate effectively at the plant, division and corporate level
Comfortable in a highly visible position with high expectations
Demonstrated ability in delivering major measurable results
