Continuous Improvement Leader

Cultured Stone produces and provides the most desired, highest quality manufactured stone veneer products in the world.

The Napa, CA facility is a 24/7, non-union operation. This position works in a team of 6 in the Human Resources Department. The Napa facility is Cultured Stone's senior facility. Napa, CA is located approx. 1 hour North of San Francisco, CA. The plant and on-site distribution center covers over 36 acres and employs approximately 1200 employees.

The Cultured Stone business is an exciting & successful high growth business. The Napa plant is continuously growing to maximize it's capacity. As a result we are looking for highly engaged leaders to make this growth successful.

The Continuous Improvement Leader will report to the Plant Leader and will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement and employee involvement through Lean tools. The primary objective of the Continuous Improvement Leader is to create and/or sustain a beneficial change culture in order to drive attainment of long-term business strategies as manifested through a Continuous Improvement Plan.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Prepares, executes, revises and measures progress on the Continuous Improvement Plan
Facilitates continuous improvement interventions & employee involvement teams throughout the plant
Identifies opportunities to implement common processes & best demonstrated practices from other sites and businesses; disseminates and acts upon relevant industry and corporate benchmarking data
Assures that predicted savings are tracked, validated and posted to the site?s/organization?s operating results
Provides leadership, coaching and training in lean thinking and lean production, variation reduction, problem solving & avoidance and People Strategies

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor-level degree or equivalent experience
Successful completion of needed Continuous Improvement Leader training modules, or structured development plan for same; exposure to Lean Production tools (such as Toyota Production System, or equivalent) and/or Six Sigma tools
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Must work exceptionally well in team environments and be adept at motivating co-workers
Must be a proven leader within a relevant discipline and a quick learner who is adaptive to and embraces change
Essential computer literacy: Corporate desktop environment such as Microsoft Office suite, or equivalent

Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis.
