Continuous Improvement Manager - Master Black Belt

Cott is the world's leading supplier of retailer brand carbonated soft drinks, with beverage manufacturing facilities in Canada, the US, the UK and Mexico, as well as a concentrate production plant and R&D Center in Columbus, Georgia.  We produce, package and distribute a wide selection of retailer brand beverages for grocery, mass-merchandise, drugstore and convenience store chains, as well as wholesalers. 

 

The role will lead Global and Divisional business teams on specific Improvement Initiatives and leverage Continuous Improvement - Six Sigma methodology and in planning and executing process overhaul and/or upgrade programs for the organization. The role will be responsible to lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives and Teams Globally, and for the divisions and business units assigned.  In addition the role will have the responsibility for Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma coaching, training, communications, base lining, and identifying and transferring best practices globally externally and internally.

 Work with Engineering, Purchasing, Marketing, Supply Chain and 3rd party suppliers and manufacturers to identify key critical areas for improvement in packaging and equipment.Liaison with the same departments, act as project manager for new products/packaging and manage the commercialization cycle from beginning to end, including conceptual design, bid specifications, vendor selection, vendor acceptance testing, prototype testing, production unit/line design, equipment installation, support, troubleshooting, and customer acceptance.Technical expert in the ideas, methodology and approaches of continuous improvement, project management and Six Sigma.Train Cott employees and other as designated in Six Sigma course work, i.e., Power Belt and Black Belt Training to meet Continuous Improvement objectives.Train management teams in the concepts, tools and ideology of Six Sigma.Lead or assist in the execution of cross-functional initiatives as assigned by Director of Global Continuous Improvement and Cott continuous improvement steering committee.Coaches and champion functional areas to identify and implement improvement opportunities and process effectiveness.Lead problem-solving efforts to improve quality and eliminate waste/cost of poor performance in functional areas and business units.
