Corporate Buyer – Raw Materials

Company Brief: Our client is a privately held, family owned and operated company; They are a major grower, packer, distributor, and exporter of food stuffs supplying the retail, food service, canning and frozen food manufacturing industries nationally and internationally.

 

They have experienced tremendous growth and now occupy five production facilities with a total square footage of over 500,000 and employ a work force of 200 plus and ships more than 350,000,000 lbs. of agricultural food products per year.

 

Job Description:
Purchase raw materials necessary for the production and distribution at all facilities, including direct loads.
Assist procurement manager and inventory control in procurement analysis.
Communicate directly and effectively with senior management.
Procure all raw materials under the direction of immediate manager for all facilities.
Oversee or execute all raw materials purchase orders/purchase contracts.
Assist in supervision of raw materials administrative assistant. Assist supervisor or senior management with special projects or tasks assigned.

 

Qualifications: 
Bachelor?s Degree in Business.
2 years Purchasing/Sales experience.
Minimum experience required.
Multi-task skills required, marketing experience skills required.
Minimum two years supervisory experience.
