Counter Sales Rep.

Airgas, Inc. is the nation?s largest (NYSE and $2.2 billion) distributor of industrial, medical and specialty gases and equipment, and the third largest distributor of safety supplies in the United States. Airgas? integrated distributor network consists of approximately 900 locations including branches, gas fill plants and distribution centers.

Airgas West is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join its Las Vegas, NV team. The selected candidate will report to the Branch Manager.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Sells a variety of gases and hard goods to customers. Assists customers in selecting the proper gases/tools to complete a project and processes the transaction. Stocks and tracks products.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
? Maintain a high level of customer service by assisting customers with will-call, counter and telephone sales.
? Analyze & expedite customer orders in a timely manner. Meet customer needs by recommending appropriate products/services.
? Enters sales data, quotes or other information into computer; researches information for customers using the computer system.
? Notify customers of received orders ready for pick-up.
? Accurately completes all daily, weekly, monthly paperwork on a timely basis.
? Assists manager in ordering appropriate merchandise to ensure stock remains at an acceptable level.
? Restock store merchandise and maintain current pricing on all store displays and products.
? Monitor status of customer owned cylinders brought in for filling or hydrotest purposes.
? Exchange customers' cylinders which requires lifting 50+ pounds to move cylinders.
? Maintain and upgrade industry product knowledge and company branch standards and procedures
? Maintain neat and presentable store through good housekeeping.
? Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures and guidelines.
? Work designated or voluntary overtime as required (including weekends).

SECONDARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
? Backup manager by performing critical branch functions as needed.
