Customer Service / Shipping Associate

 

Northern Building Products, a leading regional manufacturer of energy efficient windows & doors for multi-story buildings, is seeking a customer service/shipping associate at our headquarter office with 5+ years experience in customer order facilitation, tracking, processing and dispatching.

 

The customer service professional must have 5+ years experience in complex customer assistance as well as knowledge and experience of shipping, common carrier and logistics.  This individual will be the primary liaison between customers and the company, becoming familiar in detail with individual requirements and preferences. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a reputation for managing multiple projects, instilling confidence, developing rapport and meeting goals. 

 

The customer service associate will:Facilitate the finalization of multiple projects as the liaison with other departments. Develop and maintain all customer contacts on all assigned projects.Meet with customer and/or contacts at the beginning of new projects to understand project specifications  Process delivery billing to Accounting. Set delivery schedule together with shipping on finalized projects Generate proper paperwork including pick tickets and shipping notifications; able to maintain detailed notes in filesUpdate shipping record keeping and weekly Shipping SchedulePrepare Driver information and material

 

This is the ideal position for customer service professional with high standards of excellence and the following qualifications:Two-year degree in related fieldExcellent organizational skills to control, facilitate, implement, control, and evaluate work projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a MUSTExcellent human relations and service skills.Good written and communications skills.Possess conflict resolution skills and employee motivation techniques.
