DC Production Supervisor

Broder Bros. is the nation?s largest wholesale distributor of imprintable sportswear.  Over the last year, we have experienced rapid growth and expanded from six locations to fourteen.  Our goal is to continue this growth strategy by continuing to increase our market share while maintaining our solid service record to our customers.

 

We are currently seeking to fill a Distribution Center Production Supervisor position in our Atlanta, GA Distribution Center where customer orders are picked, processed, and shipped out to our customers within 24 hours.  Under the supervision of the Sr. DC Manager, the Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for the training and development of a staff of 50-70 employees in order picking and checking.  The specific duties of a Distribution Center Supervisor are listed below:

 

Supervises and executes warehouse and production processes and standards to ensure package integrity and just-in-time delivery of all merchandise.

 

Directly supervises up to 50-70 employees of the picking and checking staff.

 

Hires and supervises the training process of employees.  Coaches and develops employees.

 

Meets the Company?s customer service goals and expectations through continuous quality and cost performance.

 

Coordinates staffing needs to business volume with scheduling initiatives.

 

Ensures safety adherence, performance, and compliance to prevent injury. 

 

Actively contributes to the supervisory team within the Distribution Center towards accomplishing departmental goals and objectives.

 

Interfaces on a daily basis with warehouse management.

 

Timely execution of evaluations, performance indicators, and coordinating paperwork.

 

May be assigned special projects/assignments as the need arises.

 

Special Skills Required

 

Associate's degree (A.  A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training-, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

 

Must be a self-starter and have strong team building skills.
