OPERATIONS MANAGER

ONE HOUR NE OF ATLANTA

 

 

We are a leader in the design and manufacture of high speed check weighing and sorting equipment for the meat and poultry food processing industry.  Our annual growth of over 30% per year for the last two years and an equally aggressive growth plan for at least the next 5 years.  This is an opportunity for the successful OPERATIONS MANAGER to get in early, grow his/her staff and fast track their own career.

 

TO BE CONSIDERED, CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF FOUR (4) YEARS OF OPERATIONS EXPERIENCE IN AN ORDER-BASED, LOW VOLUME, HIGH QUALITY METAL FORMING/FABRICATION AND ASSEMBLY OF CAPITAL EQUIPMENT COMPANY.

Other qualifications include:

 BSME or directly related four year degree.

 Experience in successfully managing critical lead time issues in a job-shop environment; success in reducing lead time while meeting on-time delivery without sacrificing quality.

 The ability to quickly assess, build and cross-train the skills base of the existing and future operation personnel.

 Experience in planning and managing multiple manufacturing project implementation and follow-up for on-time, on-quality completion within budget.

 Knowledge of Process Improvement and experience in optimizing workflow throughput in a low volume, high quality operation.

 Command of the English language; good verbal, written and presentation skills.

 

This position reports directly to the EVP/COO and is headquartered in a highly desirable suburb within an hour NE of Atlanta with numerous educational, cultural and recreational amenities.
