DIRECTOR, WORLDWIDE 3RD PARTY CONTRACT MANUFACTURING

esponsible for the activities of the manufacturing and box build of the electronic assemblies belonging to Abbott, Inc. at major subcontractors. This will include contract development support, communications coordination, contract compliance, quality, schedule attainment, cost reduction activities, and logistics.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

.Responsible for the communication and coordination of activities between ADC and the manufacturing subcontractor.
.Responsible for the implementation of demand flow manufacturing, 10 step quality process, GMP and process skills training at the selected contract manufacturer.
.Responsible for the data collection and statistical reporting squence of the production process.
.Responsible for problem resolution of deficiencies noted at the subcontractor or by the subcontractor.
Coordination of the necessary logistics by the subcontractor of completed products on behalf of Abbott.
Support Engineering Change Control review and approval at contract manufacturer.
Support Product Release at contract manufacturer.
Will identify and review potential electronic contract manufacturers.
Will advise and assist the VP of Operations in general areas of manufacturing, subcontracted or not.
Assist in audits of potential contract manufacturing facilities.
Participate in new product design and development reviews and design control activities effecting subcontractors.
Evaluate validation and qualification of processes, methods and equipment used by contract manufacturers.
Develop, establish, and maintain a relationship with major manufacturing subcontractors that will meet the best interest of Abbott and its customers.

Qualifications
Minimum Education: BS in EE, ME, IE or other 15 years of working in progressive experience in operations to plant management level in electronic industries.
Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.
10 plus years of manufacturing experience with companies engaged in the manufacture of high quality, FDA regulated products with an electronic element.
Proven leadership skills, results oriented, highly collaborative, team player, and self-starter who can operate in a fast pace environment.
Track record on cost reduction, high quality performance, and successful subcontractor interaction.
Experience in state-of-the-art, multi-step, high volume, process control manufacturing.
Manufacturing management experience in manufacturing planning, documented systems, GMP, and quality.
Knowledge in TQM and WCM techniques.
Statistical application experience.
Bachelor's Degree
