DPS Process Technician

Amkor/Unitive is currently looking for a Process Technician for our Raleigh/Durham office. The Process Technician position requires the ability to setup, operate, document, and monitor all direct and indirect production processes assigned to the position using standard tools, equipment and operating specifications.  The technician is responsible for all associated inspections, measurements, and recording of process conditions as they relate to the product and the operating environment.

 

The Process Technician will be responsible for:Set-up and operation of the assigned process equipment according to specificationMeasurement of product using available metrology and judging acceptability of product compared to given standardsRoutine maintenance and cleaning of the process equipmentPeriodic equipment condition checklists and corrective actionSafe operation of assigned process equipment per specReview and completion of product documentation for correct processing parameters and operating conditionsCoordination of production priorities between sectorsProcess product in accordance with specified guideline and record all process parameters associated with that productPerform routine maintenance on the equipment per specification and documentComplete all process documentation as prescribed and review the documentation for conformance to the specificationIdentify and document all equipment and process non-conformancesControl use of sector process consumablesAdhere to safe practices as established for the equipment and processPerform all tests, inspections, or measurements used in determining product conformanceMaintain material inventories sufficient to support process requirementsPerform data entry and basic mathematical calculationsGenerate and interpret basic statistical control charts and dataProvide operational support to process development and engineering as requiredAdhere to clean room protocol and proceduresCoordinate product schedules with other sectorsMaintain cleanliness and general order in the sector

 

Required Qualifications:

 

This position requires an Associates Degree plus 3-5 years of direct high-volume manufacturing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The qualified candidate will have the ability to recognize out of spec conditions for both equipment and process and to take appropriate corrective actions to ensure protection of product and equipment and the ability to examine product using a microscope or metrology equipment, measure critical features and determine acceptability of the process or product according to prescribed standards. Experience with complex and sensitive equipment operation, preferably in a high-volume, low-cost manufacturing environment and an ability to comprehend and execute on complex equipment and process specifications with minimal errors. The Process Technician must also be able to provide support to other equipment and process technicians to determine causes and corrective actions for hardware, process and product abnormalities. Must have previous wafer fabrication or die level process experience in a high volume, clean room manufacturing environment and have experience setting up and operating complex mechanical and electrical manufacturing and metrology tools. The ideal candidate will have experience with set-up and operation of automated grinding, dicing, pick & place, automated inspection / recognition, or wafer test equipment. A strong background in identifying and resolving contamination or other equipment-induced defects in products is also required.
