Database Administrator

Vaco Technology, one of the fastest growing IT Consulting and Staffing firms in the country is working with a client in the Richmond VA area and we have been asked to identify qualified Database Administrators professionals for both Contract and Contract-to-Hire opportunities.
Typical contract assignments are 6 to 12 months in length. Contract-to-hire opportunities are typically 3 to 6 months.

Desired skills: support applications running on both Windows and Unix platforms. Must have 5+ years as a administrator of enterprise level MS SQL and Oracle. Experience working with data warehouse, Oracle RAC, Oracle advanced queues. Disaster recovery planning, design and implement redundant systems policies and procedures for data archiving. Ensure the stability and reliability of data access and data quality.

Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or related field is preferred, but equivalent work experience will suffice.
