Computer Aided Design Drafter-Heavy Equipment Manufacturing

Beaufort/Hilton Head, South Carolina Area

 

 

This is a newly created position!!  Our ideal candidate would design new products and make improvements to existing products using computer aided design (CAD) and Bill of Material (BOM) software.  Will review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.

 

Require an associate's degree in design and 0-2 years of experience with automotive, marine, heavy duty mobile equipment, construction or industrial background. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

 

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works with other members of the engineering and manufacturing staff to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

 

Must be able to climb on our trucks & equipment to understand the concepts being conveyed by our manufacturing crew. 

 

Any 2D and 3D CAD experience can make the transition to SolidWorks.
