Specifically with the NFL and NBA stars, as well as NFL team helmets and NASCAR racecars like Kurt Busch?s #2 car.  New products featuring other areas coming soon.

Position Description:

Fathead is seeking a Designer ? Sports & Entertainment. The position is responsible the identification, selection, creation and development of Fathead?s wall graphics in these categories. The individual is expected to possess exceptional abilities in both digital assembly and color correction with capable communication and comprehension abilities.  Demonstrated successful leadership traits, strong work ethic with the desire to follow projects through to completion are a must. The position will report into the Director of Design & Product Development.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.

 

?  Responsible for assembly, color correction and/or image retouching from provided design files, scanned and/or digital images

?  Must successfully meet or exceed established design tenets and meet deadlines.

?  Applies design and engineering knowledge to assist in the development of new product concepts.

?  Makes material recommendations of new design solutions.

?  Works closely with Marketing, Engineering, Operations and Brand Managers prepare/revise specifications for delivery

?  Represents design group in cross-functional team meetings effectively presenting new design solutions.

?  Previews files to ensure accuracy and troubleshoots problems.

?  Ensures quality of engineering and contents.

 

Knowledge, Skill & Ability:

?  Knowledge of assembly, color correction and/or image retouching skills in a Macintosh environment.

?  Fundamental knowledge of ripping and trapping postscript files.

?  Understanding of Pre-Press, Printing and/or Publishing along with exposure to conventional proofing, plating or stripping a plus.

?  Familiarity with 4-color process with exposure to 5th and 6th colors and foils a plus.

?  Competent oral and written communication skills.

?  Recognized productivity against flexible schedules and accelerated timelines.

?  Proficient interpersonal, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

?  Experienced organizational and file management skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a keen attention to detail.

?  Professional demeanor; team player orientation.  Ability to interface with internal parties at all levels.

?  Hands on, energetic and motivated self-starter with the ability to work additional hours as required.

?  Qualified in the following software applications:  Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator and InDesign

?  Creative

?  Substantial interest in Sports & Entertainment a plus
