Die Pre-make-Ready Technician

We are seeking candidates for a North Carolina plant who will be responsible for Zerand cutter pre-make ready operations leading to the production of work-in-process materials used in the manufacture of cups and cartons. Responsibilities include preparing dies and stripping cylinders for production as well as reknifing, nicking and corking dies and performing die lockups.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties performed by employees in this position will include, but not be limited to the following:

Safety:
Responsible for the safety of all shift personnel.
Conducts daily area safety audit and corrects deficiencies.
Maintains area in full ASI compliance at all times.

Quality:
Responsible for the quality of dies and stripping cylinders sent to cutters.
Audits carton cut and score quality to determine reknife requirements.

Productivity:
Responsible for preparing dies and stripping cylinders for production.
Reknife and nick dies
Cork dies
Die lockup
Assist operators to insure machines run at or above standard speeds.
Assist operators to insure machine make-readies are completed at or below standard times.
Assist supervisor with new job layouts.
Brake knife location
Nicking pattern
Stripping pin layout
Maintain appropriate inventory of die supplies. Complete purchase requisitions and forward to supervisor for approval.
Complete daily task as assigned by supervisor.

Waste Control:
