Job Description: Collaborate with Programs, Supply Chain Management, Factories, Performance Excellence, and Engineering to develop/implement Lean Enterprise Strategies, drive common processes, develop talents & skill sets, and leverage capabilities across the company to enhance Program & Functional performance on speed, cost, quality, and schedule.



This position will serve as a focal point to support SAS Operations? continuous drive toward Lean Enterprise, covering entire value stream, across all programs, and over all SAS factories, to achieve significant improvement in speed and cycle time, and enable rapid delivery of capabilities to customers. The position will also have the key responsibility of developing common and effective processes in Operations to enhance quality and cost performance and to enhance Mission Assurance.



Specific responsibilities include developing and implementing Lean Enterprise strategy, mapping and improving business and production process, managing plant layout and materials handling, coordinating productivity improvement initiatives, developing strategy to significantly improve speed, cycle time, and inventory performance, improving process planning effectiveness, developing and managing cost estimating process, and supporting the planned implementation of Business-wide ERP and Shop Floor Planning/Control System. Other responsibilities including the management of process planning, work instructions, Build History Book, manpower planning, work measurement, and metrics development/deployment.



This position also requires extensive networking with Raytheon Businesses, councils and industry activities to identify and promote best practices.

Basic Qualifications:


14+ years of engineering and/or manufacturing experience in Aerospace/Defense or automotive industry with proven, documented accomplishments in transition to production, with at least 8 years in management positions. Demonstrated strong project management expertise. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated achievement in LEAN implementation. Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Required Education (including Major):


Bachelor?s or advanced degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics.
