Director, Global Manufacturing

Fluidmaster, Inc. a 49-year old company with an outstanding work environment and strong cultural values, is seeking candidates for a Director of Global Manufacturing position.

 

Summary:

 

Has responsibility for the success of all operations worldwide.  Through coaching, planning, and strategy sessions, develops a core team of professionals that can consistently meet the needs of the customer while maintaining quality, cost, and profit goals for the Company.

 

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Coordinates the activities of functions reporting to this position in a manner consistent with previously established customer needs and corporate policies and objectives. Assists in the development and implementation of short, medium, and long-term goals. Through coaching, training, and mentoring, develops a cohesive team to meet the growing demand of a global company. Maintains close surveillance over operations through perusal of reports,staff meeting observation, and personal contact to assure coordination and integration of work flow, timely production, budgeting conformance schedules, utilization of personnel skills, machines, equipment and facilities. Assists, advises, and otherwise expedites manufacturing and related problems by utilizing staff to resolve and implement corrective procedures. Coordinates and directs major projects e.g. expansion of facilities and installation of capitol equipment major repairs and overhauls plant layout changes etc. to the best economic advantage and schedule. Keeps all personnel informed on matters of communications decisions and policies to assure that personnel understand and are committed to corporate goals and objectives. Supervises and coordinates the various programs essential to manufacturing procedures i.e. training, safety, housekeeping, work improvements, cost reductions, compensation administration and plant protection. Responsible for staffing the department through the Human Resources function with individuals of the highest caliber which meet the corporate expectations.

 

Experience & Educational Requirements:

 Bachelor's Degree MBA preferred with 10 to 12 years experience in a highly repetitive manufacturing environment with time in production control scheduling and material management. Must possess the following skills: critical thinking, problem solving, continuous improvement processes (such as Lean Kaizan) etc. Must understand and strongly support accountability and performance management processes. Must be knowledgeable of basic corporate financial measurements; ability to read and interpret income statements cash flow and balance sheets. Must have previous managerial experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have excellent PC skills to include; MS Office Word PowerPoint and Excel. Up to 50% travel required.
