A global pharmaceutical company is seeking a Director, Human Resources for their Latin America division Area II. The position is based in Miami, Florida.
External Job Description
The purpose of the Human Resources Director position is to identify and implement the best Human Resources practices for Area II, to support the achievement of organizational goals, encouraging all employees to commit and actively participate in the development of Area II.
Primary Responsibilities & Functions
? Provide Area II with highly qualified personnel, who have the knowledge, skills and competencies, to satisfactorily perform the requirements in all positions.
? Develop, retain and motivate the talented people working in Area II.
? Manage compensation systems in Area II, to guarantee that they are in accordance to pay for performance practices, and that are competitive compared to pharmaceutical market.
? Manage the performance evaluation process
? Maintain healthy work conditions within the company, which drive employees to high motivation level and sense of belonging.
? Maintain high standards of ethics across Area II, fostering respect to company policies.
? Offer high quality of administrative services to all employees at the company
? Actively participate in Area II strategic planning process
? Participate in and coordinate recruitment and selection process for Area II
? Manage the benefits administration and practices
? Coach all managers and supervisors to assure that company's Principles and values are cascaded to each member of the organization and adopted as the common behavior code.
? Administer formal communication mechanisms to ensure that proper information is available to all employees in Area II
? Run the performance evaluation process when necessary
Qualifications
? Business or Humanistic Major HR specialized studies is a plus.
? At least 5-8 years of experience in a Human Resources executive position in multinational companies.
? Knowledge of HR function as a Generalist
? Excellent communication skills and a profound insight and understanding of Cultural Differences.
? Ability to work well and be productive with co-workers and clients of varying cultures.
? Ability to plan for and manage multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
? Excellent follow-up skills.
? Bilingual in English & Spanish, both verbal and written required. Portuguese a plus
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) for Windows.
? 20% to 30% travel required.
Must have a permit to work in the US. i.e. H1B status.
