Director, Operations

 

  Prime Resources, a major ASI supplier of Promotional Products is currently seeking a Director of Operations with primary responsibility for our plant and daily order production. This position reports directly to the President. Located in Fairfield County, CT., Prime Resources imprints multi-color logos on a wide range of promotional products including drinkware, bags, writing instruments, stress relievers, office accessories and more.  The imprint methods are primarily silk screening, pad printing, image bonding, and laser engraving, although new imprint methods are added each year.  The individual we are seeking is experienced and highly knowledgeable in managing operations of this type in a fast paced, environment where 200-300 individual orders per day are produced and shipped.

 

The responsibilities of this position include:

Scheduling and operating the plant to meet our daily order requirements with the highest degree of timeliness, quality control and efficiency, and within disciplined budget plan.

 

Implement a process evaluation and improvement program to continually improve our systems, our productivity and reduce operating costs.

 

Research and evaluate new and improvement imprint methods to help Prime maintain cutting edge capabilities and offer state of the art services to our customers.

 

Responsible for the overall operations budget

 

Ensure that the plant workforce is well-trained and incentivized to produce at the highest possible level of productivity and quality in a cooperative and fair working environment.

 

Formulating, recommending and establishing programs and policies, designed to insure that the organization is improving and maintaining its competitive position.

 

Provide leadership, management and development to department management and employees, designed to foster continuous improvement and team development in order to accomplish department and company goals.

 

  Incumbent must have a minimum of a Bachelor?s degree in engineering, management or business administration combined with a minimum of 8 to 10 years progressive managerial experience. Candidate must have a background within the printing industry, including operational knowledge of Pad Printing, Silk Screen and Laser Printing.  Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills along with excellent communication skills, both oral and written in order to effectively interface and communicate with all levels of the organization. Candidate must have a demonstrated ability to lead people and develop team relations. A background in the promotional products industry is a strong plus.
