Director, Supplier Quality

Job Description: The Director, Supplier Quality will be responsible for rebuilding our Supplier Quality Assurance function. They will hire new staff as well as revise procedures. They will aggressively work with the suppliers of our critical components (e.g. feedthrus, batteries, ICs, boards) to establish programs that provide a greater level of control over component reliability. They will drive the supplier corrective action system, and ensure that supplier audits are conducted in a timely manner.

Primary Duties:

Recruit top talent into the Supplier QA function

Manage the Supplier QA function and the process of supplier audits

Work as part of a team to revise operating procedures and work instructions related to supplier quality assurance

Manage the Receiving Inspection function

Ensure that supplier quality issues are reviewed, prioritized, and acted upon


Required Knowledge and Skills:

Must have knowledge of supplier quality assurance systems that go beyond the ISO requirements. For example, the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), or Six Sigma

Must have experience managing a supplier quality assurance function

Must have knowledge of electronics and mechanical assemblies
