Director of Materials, Planning, and Logistics

 

We are a rapidly growing metal products company looking for a person to fill our senior materials management role within our company. Responsible for leading a strong group of production and inventory control personnel in the production planning of our multi-site operation. Directs the activities of the purchasing group in managing the very broad supply chain. Leads the shipping and receiving departments in the efficient handling of all inbound and outbound cargo. Manages the customer service team to effectively interact with customers. Must be a coach, mentor, leader and change agent for a staff of over 50 people. Fast paced environment with a direct impact on the operation of the organization. This is not a supporting role, this is a leader who has the ability to impact the bottom line. Preferred candidate is has various materials related certifications, a bachelor?s degree, and extensive experience with ERP systems. Critical member of the senior leadership team of the corporation and reports directly to VP of Operations and Engineering. Solid benefits package and minimal travel. Salary dependent upon skills and experience.

 

 

General ResponsibilitiesDirect various operating departments in the pursuit of their functional goalsLead the continuous improvement effort and achieve results.Develop team members and create a positive working environment.Direct the activities of personnel assigned to other facilities.Develops long range strategic plans and methods to implement them.Coordinate activities of 3rd party vendor and suppliers.
