Director of Operations/Lean Manufacturing for Fast Growing Company

OutHire has partnered with a leader in the plastics technology field to hire a Director of Operations/LEAN Manufacturing Manager to champion LEAN initiatives in their facility South of Wichita, Kansas. We will offer a base plus bonus in the 120k to 130k, plus range and will pay for relocation expenses for the best candidate.

The Director of Operations will manage and direct the policies, objectives and initiatives in order to accomplish established financial and quality objectives as well as planned goals.

This Leader must possess a drive to succeed, team focus, ability to implement continuous improvements utilizing LEAN methodologies, strong change management and leadership skills, and manufacturing experience.

" Manage the direction, planning, and performance in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Control, Procurement, and Quality.

" Develop and communicate an Operations Strategy that is clearly aligned to the overall Business Strategy.

" Develop clear, assignable action plans that ensure that the strategic plans are executed.

" Develop, obtain approval, and execute annual and multi-year business plans for the operation which fulfills the growth, quality and financial return objectives of the overall operation.

"Monitor and control development and production programs to ensure performance to cost, schedule, and quality targets are maintained to ensure customer satisfaction.

" Organize and develop a team and provide for their training, development, and motivation to meet the needs of their positions and the overall business needs for operations as well as the overall organization.

" Create and maintain an employee and industrial relations climate which provides for retention and advancement of all employees.

" Develop personal relationships at senior levels with major customers to promote the operation and secure future profitable business.

" Contribute as a member of senior management to the overall direction and strategic planning of the organization.

Required Skills:
" Bachelor's degree
" 5-10 years in manufacturing and LEAN initiatives.
" A team player that helps company meet its goals and objectives with strong problem solving skills with a commitment to Continuous Improvement.
" Excellent and effective communicator (verbal and written) to ensure clear explanation of job requirements is given to employees.
