Director of Quality'Direct Hire Position!!
The leading manufacturer of electronic transaction devices has an immediate need for a Director of Quality at its world headquarters located in the St. Louis metro area.
Responsibilities include:
Serve as the corporate quality leader and counselor for the President and Operations Team on quality matters
Facilitate the KPI continual improvement process.
Facilitate CAB (Corrective Action Board) and PAT (Preventive Action Team) meetings
Facilitate the FASS process and perform FPI to ensure that new / changed parts entering the manufacturing stream are fully approved.
Manage the Quality Control function to monitor manufacturing quality in-process and end of line through process final outgoing quality audits.
Facilitate the NPI process and DFMEA & PFMEA activities to ensure robust designs are released to manufacturing
Identify and facilitate process and system improvement opportunities to reduce waste / cost, improve efficiency and product quality
Oversee the ISO 9001 certification and associated activities (management reviews, internal audit programs, etc.) and the Team Excellence program
Education and Experience
BS in business or engineering. Able to quickly grasp technical product quality issues, failure analysis reports, test reports, and technical engineering / design solutions.
MBA a plus.
ASQ CQM and / or CQE
