DIRECTOR OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

Reporting Relationship(s):  This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations. Subordinates will include the Strategic Supply Chain Manager,  Procurement Specialists, and others as the growth of the company demands.

 

Minimum Experience:  15 years in the electronics industry with a broad base of operational leadership experience. Must have demonstrated results in the development of business processes, implementation of ERP systems, and management of contract manufacturers. 

 

Job Summary:  As a leader of the Supply Chain Management Team, this role will take both a strategic and tactical view of the business, constantly looking for new ways to improve business results through:Operational activities include: sourcing, procurement, inventory and operations planning, transportation, logistics, warehouse, distribution, product launch, and supporting information systems.Providing strategic influence and impact while building relationships with management in Operations, Engineering, Finance, Marketing and Sales.Developing and implementing supply chain strategies, processes and metrics, including supplier performance, strategic sourcing, price negotiations, inventory reduction strategies, new product introductions with early supplier involvement, cycle time reduction, value engineering, and supplier defect reduction that improve the overall business objectives.Establishing new supply chain tools, policies, processes, systems and procedures to achieve world-class performance.Developing a world-class supply chain team by attracting, engaging, developing and rewarding high performance and skill building.Setting a leadership example for all employees by excellence in communication, execution, and results.Utilizing process management methodologies to drive continuous improvement and supply chain process modeling.Championing the implementation of the new ERP system for Order Management, Fulfillment and Demand Management.
