Division Controller

NACCO Materials Handling Group, Inc. ("NMHG") designs, engineers and manufactures materials handling equipment for virtually every market niche, including warehouse trucks, counterbalanced trucks and large capacity cargo and container handling trucks.All lift trucks are marketed under the Hyster? or Yale? brand names. NMHG is one of the world's largest lift truck manufacturers and distributes its product through a worldwide distribution network of independent Hyster? and Yale? retail dealerships.The role of this person will be to:Direct responsibility for management and oversight of all Division (US, Brazil, Mexico) General Accounting, Consolidation, and Financial Reporting activities Effective liaison with business unit executives and site Controllers Manage and direct the acitivities of the Division?s Transaction Processing Center (Accounts Payable, Customer Invoicing, Payroll, Sales Tax) with an emphasis on processing efficiency Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC regulations. Establish, implement and monitor Policies and Procedures to manage and control company assets and maintain an environment conducive to effective internal controls Provide leadership in ensuring that internal controls over financial reporting comply with Sarbanes-Oxley Act sections 303 and 404 Primary liaison with internal and  external auditors

Knowledge/Skills Required for Position:Four year college degree with major in accounting and active CPA license is required CMA and/or MBA and/or 3-5 years experience in public accounting preferred US GAAP and SEC knowledge and experience 4-5 Years experience in headquarters environment with direct/indirect responsibility for consolidation and SEC reporting ? preferrably with capital goods manufacturer At least 3 years supervisory experience Experience with cost and manufacturing accounting preferred Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills ? ablility to effectively interact with executive managemet

You will be expected to be involved with the following decisions:Policies, procedures and internal control processes Conclusions on difficult or controversial GAAP/SEC interpretations Selection and hiring of new employees and promotions Recommend areas to increase profitability and cash flow Finance/Accounting organizational structure
