Drafter

The Draftsperson/Document Control is responsible for the documentation of products for manufacturability. Will create tool documentation packages and be the liaison between sales and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Provide specifications & SPC fields for existing and new products to manufacturing.



Develop 2-D drawings and 3-D modeling.



Assist engineers with elements or tasks related to larger more complex projects



Ensure accuracy of specifications, document and configuration control



Utilize existing specification systems and methods to meet production requirements



Establish, maintain, and report key indicators as established for responsible routine tasks.



Generate layouts or drawings for products and materials, as requested and approved.

Experience with Autocad, Solidworks, MS Word, and Excel.



Intermediate mathematical and geometrical skills



Experience with drafting in mechanical or manufacturing environment



Good communication skills ? written and verbal



Familiarity with SPC tools and application

Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent



Completion of drafting courses



Attending or graduation from technical school



1 ? 3 years related experience.
