ESTIMATOR

We are looking for an experienced ESTIMATOR, which requires a high degree of organization and coordination with other departments within manufacturing division. Must be organized and methodical.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

 Under minimal supervision, establishes cost and lead times for all new manufacturing opportunities.Responsible for meeting all Customer quote expectations in regards to timeliness of responses for quote completion. All quotes complete within three days.Develop quotes from customer proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates. Prepare labor and material estimates, solicit material quotes and compile bid totals.Reads blueprints, researches and understands technical specifications.Completes and maintains associated records, documents and logs such as: Quote Log, Customer Information, Quote Packages, Prints and Costed BOMs.Solicits input from Manufacturing, Quality and others to define work flow and methods and test requirements.Processes and quotes all Engineering Change Orders.Participate in job closeout meetings; incorporates feedback into new quotes as needed.Develop and Maintain metrics for estimating department: Win/Loss, Quote Turnaround and Quoting trends.Create and maintain training manuals for Intuitive modules owned by Estimating department.

 

Typical Qualifications Include:

 Very strong communication skills ? written and verbal ? are essential.Previous estimating experience a plus.Must be very organized and detailed oriented.Requires a high level of computer familiarity (MS Word, Excel, ect.)Team player with a high degree of responsiveness and commitment to programs and management.
