Electrical-Cad Designer

Kalmar Industries, a global leader in the manufacture of port and terminal trucks  has an immediate opening at its Kalmar Ottawa Manufacturing Plant for an experienced CAD Designer.  Kalmar Industries is located in Ottawa, Kansas approximately 35 miles Southwest of Olathe, Kansas.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

Prepare electrical schematics and wire harness designs for on and off highway mobile equipment.  Designer must be capable of using AUTOCAD 2D and 3D Modeling software such as: AUTO DESK  INVENTOR, PRO-E or CATIA.

 

Construct drawings, layouts, assemblies and bill of material, as well as monitor existing product documentation.

 

Knowledge required:

 

Electrical Schematics ? Low Voltage Electrical Systems

Bill of Material Structures

CAD/CAM System Autocad 2-D

Inventor 3D Modeling System

PC Software Applications

 

Desired Background Experience:

 

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years electrical design experience preferably with mobile (rubber tired) equipment. Low voltage CANBUS ? multiplexing electrical systems used in engines, transmissions, ABS and GPS systems knowledge is a plus.

 

Must have experience with, and capably use 3D modeling design software.  (AUTOCAD 2D and INVENTOR 3D are currently used at this facility ? experience with CATIA OR PRO-E is also acceptable).

 

Education Required:  Technical Degree or advanced education/experience in

Electrical system integration.
