Engineer II, Mfg Sciences Purification
Job Description The core role of this position will be to provide support for manufacturing. Process improvement and deviation resolution in manufacturing will be resolved through investigation, hands-on troubleshooting, and the application of sound technical knowledge to: assess results/data, identify root causes/improvement opportunities, develop appropriate corrective actions, and implement the needed changes in a GMP environment. The application of sound technical knowledge will include laboratory testing or studies as needed. The primary focus of the position will be to support filtration and centrifugation separations technologies. Expertise in filtration applications is required. Experience with centrifugation and chromatographic separations is desired.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess: 5 to 8 years of experience in process support of large-scale biopharmaceutical purification. Candidates must have demonstrated technical expertise and experience conducting laboratory experiments / studies to resolve issues and improve processes for manufacture of commerical drug substance manufacture. Experience creating GMP documentation and technical reports for work conducted is required.
Education
Bachelors or Masters of Science in Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences required, advanced degree preferred
