Position Summary:

This job is to provide asset management for the facility and equipment as well as identify plant needs.

 

Accountabilities:

?  Assist with research and development of the 3-Year Capital Plan.

?  Research, develop, write and submit Capital Expenditure Requests for Corporate approval.

?  Solicit quotations for different projects and conduct bid evaluation and

   selection.

?  Develop and manage implementation plans for capital projects and large scale expense projects.

?  Manage the Capital Budget and ensure that the expenditures comply with corporate standards.

?  Approve all expenditures of capital projects and submit signed copies of all invoices.

?  Coordinate with the Maintenance Team Leader to ensure that sound choices are being made regarding the maintenance of plant machinery versus replacement.

?  Participate and support the Product Development Team and complete necessary action items.

?  Participate and develop long range planning for other plant activities not specifically tied to the capital budget.

?  Develop or coordinate necessary work instructions and preventive maintenance guidelines for new machinery.

?  Coordinate and execute projects during shutdown.

?  Assist in the overall execution of Operations Engineering Department in the Richmond facility.

?  Assist with process improvements/changes.

?  Identify and support cost reduction initiatives.

?  Fill in for the Maintenance Team Leader during absences.

?  Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

? Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.

? Excellent project management skills.

? Excellent verbal communication skills.

? Ability to foster a team environment.

? Ability to facilitate problem resolution.

? Ability to multi-task and prioritize a must.

? Two to four years of related experience in an engineering support department.

? Candidate should have computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point and AutoCad.

? Knowledge in woodworking processes and industrial equipment a plus.

? Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Processes is imperative.

? Electrical background a plus.

? BS in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
