Environmental Compliance Manager

Bronze Craft Corporation is looking to hire an Environmental Compliance Manager to manage the Company?s environmental and compliance issues. This vital role will make a significant contribution to the success of Bronze Craft Corporation's ongoing compliance efforts.

 

The Environmental Compliance Manager will:

 

Be responsible for company wide environmental compliance and regulatory issues.  Maintains relationships with regulatory authorities.  Ensure environmental issues are investigated and included in company decision making.  Maintains historical documentation and ensures established goals and deadlines are met.  Keeps supervisor informed of status and significant problems.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ensures compliance with all environmental regulations and keeps abreast of changes that impact the organization.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maintain corporate environmental compliance calendar and meet all required filing deadlines.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Conduct  required environmental tests, analysis, and observations.  Evaluates results and makes recommendations for maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Implement and maintains company policy adhering to state, local and federal environmental regulations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Involved in the design of work areas and procedures and makes recommendations accordingly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Complete and submit scheduled environmental (i.e., Tier II) reports to internal and government regulatory authorities. Complete periodic air emissions and waste water treatment reports as needed with final annual copy submitted to State of NH. Completes quarterly hazardous waste activity report for the State of New Hampshire.  Complete periodic air emissions and waste water treatment reports as needed with final annual copy submitted to State of NH.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Manage all plant hazardous waste activity including: Conducting weekly inspections of hazardous waste stream sites; staying abreast of changing regulations concerning waste streams; completing and filing manifest paperwork having to do with hazardous waste and reviewing and maintaining certification records for vendor waste stream/profile approvals.  Manage the quote process for compliance and cost efficiency.  Maintain communication with transporters/brokers.  Attend training of various types; annual/tri-annual, (DOT & RCRA).  Coordinate all waste testing with outside vendors. Coordinate shipments of hazardous wastes/substances.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Post updated emergency procedures, site plans, waste streams, procedures, etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Responsible for conducting annual hazardous waste management training and providing assistance to the VP of Engineering on EPA issues.









 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Education/Experience:

 

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field required.  One to three years experience in the field with specialized training in Hazardous Waste and EPA regulations preferred. Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations.  Strong analytical and problem solving skills.  Well organized with good presentation and communication skills.  Ability to interpret and disseminate technical materials and instruct, train and communicate to employees, managers and regulatory agencies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
