Environmental Health & Safety Manager

The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager will establish, promote, and enforce programs assuring a safe and healthy work environment and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements in the manufacturing facilities across the sector. The EH&S Manager will participate on cross-functional teams addressing a variety of business topics impacted by EHS issues and continuous process improvement projects.



Establish and promote programs for compliance with applicable safety, health and environmental regulations to include but not be limited to: OSHA, EPA, and state and local regulations.
Provide safety guidance to Invivo management in daily operations activities.Serve as Workers Compensation lead for the facility. Implement programs that will minimize employee injury and illness frequency, severity and cost. Manage return to work programs/modified duty programs. Act as liaison on all open compensation cases.Investigate workplace accidents as required to ensure accurate and timely reporting using metrics with clearly defined performance goals and objectives.Serve as the coordinator/facilitator of interdepartmental activities related to EHS and facility.Serve as the Primary Emergency Coordinator for all emergency responses in the Hazardous Material Emergency Response Plan.Coordinate, schedule, and conduct Safety Committee Meetings.Conduct new employee safety orientation.Conduct work place monitoring studies to assure safe environments in factory and office locations. Interprets results and recommends improve actions.Coordinate HAZCOM activities and training, including MSDS, EPA, and other environmental requirements.Coordinate facility security measures, including 3rd party contracts for monitoring and surveillance, building access and overall security measures.Develop and provide safety related training programs.Monitor the use, storage and disposal of hazardous materials.Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Working knowledge of OSHA standards as applies to manufacturing operations Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to multi-task.Basic computer skills: email, MS Word, and Excel. Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety laws and all of the employer's safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnelAbility to work in a cross-functional manner, achieving consensus for changes and growth.Strong planning and organizational skills.

Required Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:

5 years environmental, health, safety and experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience in a manufacturing EHS role required?Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS preferred.Previous experience as a trainer preferred.
