Job Description: Equipment Engineer II - Process Development
JOB PURPOSE
Candidates applying for this position will be assisting in developing new technology, processes, & equipment with minimal supervision. Under limited supervision/guidance, compiles, analyzes, and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified process equipment.
This is a full spectrum role, from hands-on prototyping & fabrication to full scale manufacturing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Fully participates in and successfully contributes to project teams typically including the following activities: process design and development, test of materials, preparation of specifications, process capability studies, research investigations, report preparation, and process/test documentation.
2.Works independently to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet timelines.
3.Designs and coordinates standard engineering tests and experiments.
4.Designs, procures, and fabricates tooling, fixtures, & production equipment.
5.Performs troubleshooting on new process problems as related to design, material, or process.
6.Summarizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from test results.
7.Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate results to technical community.
8.Responsible for engineering documentation including comprehensive validation procedures in compliance with FDA.
9.Invents/ creates concepts and designs for new process equipment, and submits idea disclosures.
10.Provide guidance, training, & consistency of work to Engineer I's & Technicians.
11.Works cooperatively with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, and Marketing to ensure project success.
12.Demonstrates PDP/TPD system knowledge through delivery of high quality deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS
Typical minimum education/years experience: BS in Engineering/Technical Field; 2+ years experience (0-2 years with MS). Experience must be in the design of automation or process equipment

Core competency in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering

Design for Integration

Design of Experiments (DOE)

Software development capabilities a plus

CAD proficient using 3D & 2D Engineering packages such as AutoCAD, ProE, or Solidworks. Print preparation, detailed dimensioning, ANSI Y-14 a requirment
