Equipment Engineer - Manufacturing

Job Description: Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Equipment Engineer.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for the procurement and installation of new equipment while uncovering ways to improve the production process.  He or she will also ensure that the facility is a safe workplace for all those who work within it. 

 

Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to, the following
Ensure proper function of existing equipment
Design and install improvements to existing equipment
Assist in training Technical Staff
Aid staff with troubleshooting problems in regard to process equipment
Provide adequate training for all personnel consistent with their duties, responsibilities, and professional development
Help maintain drawings, machine specs, and technical library
Improve efficiencies of process equipment
Control overtime of hourly staff
Support implementation of ISO 9000
Uphold all safety and environmental needs
Provide support to improve production processes

 

Requirements:
2 or more years experience working within an engineering field
Strong manufacturing machinery experience
Trained or skilled in
CAD
PLCs
Robotics
Vision systems
Pneumatics
Hydraulics
Electrical distribution
Capable of operating programs within the Microsoft Office software package

 

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university

Based on Experience

 

Hours:

1st Shift

Commutable within the region of Chattanooga, Tennessee
