Extruder Operator

Duties and Responsibilities: 

?  Shared responsibility for finished goods meeting or exceeding customer expectations

?  Maintain accurate records

?  Maintain machine cleanliness and a clean, safe and orderly work area

?  Understand the extrusion and inspection process (training required)

?  Check and verify production information

?  Prepare for upcoming jobs

?  Machine setup and operation

?  Identify materials for each job

?  Load raw material into machines

?  Heavy lifting

?  Follow directions from drawings, standard work and Kanban systems

?  Sets wall on tubing by using calipers and other measuring devices

?  Adhere to quality standards and guidelines

?  Follows good 5S and Safety practices

 

 

Qualifications / Requirements:  

?  High School Diploma or equivalent

?  Read work orders & specifications

?  Tooling and measurement experience

?  Must be competent in basic mathematical and analytical skills, as well as verbal and written communication.

 

 

 

Physical Requirement:  Standing, sitting, bending, walking, squatting, kneeling, upper arm lifting, and work in confined or small area, lifts up to 70 lbs
