FIELD SALES ENGINEER - Toledo, OH

Position Description:

As a Field Sales Engineer, you will have the opportunity to utilize your technical background and gain the people contact that you desire! In addition to applying business skills and learning about new technologies, you will:Maximize territory sales by promoting ifm efector sensors and controls among OEMs and large user accounts. Identify and qualify key prospect accounts for potential opportunities. Develop a thorough understanding of the customer?s business model and machine / application requirements to determine the best fit for ifm efector solutions and overall return on investment.Use your skills to conquer application challenges in the design room as well as on the plant floor. Work closely with our Product Management team to identify market opportunities, establish customer needs, and determine appropriate product applications, sales tools and value-added services.

Qualifications:Three plus years technical sales experience with a strong mechanical aptitude. Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify and close key prospect accounts. Technical or business degree is preferred. Excellent communication, presentation and sales skills to provide customers with the value-added support that makes team efector unique in the sensor business. Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently in prioritizing daily schedule and workload.

Training:

ifm efector provides an outstanding hands-on and classroom training program that encompasses all aspects of technical sales. The training includes visits to customer manufacturing sites and seeing first hand how we solve our customers' problems by applying our sensor and controls technologies. After training, you will have the opportunity to grow your own territory.
