Job Title: Facilities Manager
Reports To: Plant Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt

This is a dynamic position that requires the individual to manage a variety of engineering functions.
Position Summary:
Assures the optimal functioning of building systems including mechanical, fire/life safety, elevators etc. Supervises staff of 3 facilities maintenance workers who perform maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, or electrical servicing to the organization's facilities. May oversee contractors for facilities renovation project entailing, HVAC, electrical, production floor arrangement, etc. May require a bachelor?s degree and at least 5-8 years of experience in the field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complex tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Responsibilities:
Manufacturing/Production
May be involved in the installation and repair of production machinery, tools and support equipment. Oversees all production equipment maintenance and repairs. Implements and maintains a preventive maintenance program. Acts as an advisor to the Production team regarding equipment status, scheduled equipment maintenance, and equipment capacity.
Facilities and Systems
Organizes the maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, or electrical servicing to the organization's facilities. May oversee contractors for facilities renovation/improvement projects.
Environmental, Health and Safety
Develops, implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.

Works with the management team to plan business objectives, develop organizational policies, coordinate functions and operations between departments, and establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.

Education and/or Experience - May require a bachelor?s degree and at least 5-8 years of experience in the field.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and use hands and fingers to handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
