SUMMARY:  Perform maintenance and repair on electrical distribution systems, HVAC, gas systems and central plant utilities with accurate documentation to support activities

 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ability to effectively troubleshoot plant electrical distribution systems such as lighting, power panel distribution, MCC?s, VFD?s, emergency power generator and UPS systems.Ability to effectively troubleshoot mechanical systems such as chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers, RO/DI systems, gas distribution systems, fire and building safety systems. Be able to work independently and set individual priorities.Possess the ability to accurately read, understand and modify electrical schematics.Demonstrate strong knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.Accurately and efficiently enter all data related to assigned tasks into computerized maintenance management system.Ensure timely response, repair and solution to equipment related issues when directed by supervisor.Develop skills to improve preventive maintenance program.Nurtures and maintains excellent working relationship with team members and customers.Assist in monitoring and maintaining building management system

 QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Desire certifications/licensed related to trades associated with manufacturing support systems and at least 3 years experience as a senior level technician.  Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft OfficeBe able to produce and receive positive feedback for process improvements.Demonstrate ability to work as a team member with strong desire to contribute to overall success of the organization.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 years as a senior level maintenance technician with a demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility.College education a plus.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS Demonstrate excellent communication and written skills to accurately and clearly communicate within the department.Perform group training as required.

 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS High school level of math is acceptable.

 

REASONING ABILITY This position requires a high level of logical thinking and communications skills to effectively troubleshoot complex systems composed of both mechanical, electrical and controls.

 

 CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS   Any relevant certificates are desired.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS  This position requires the individual to easily lift and move objects over 50 lbs.
